Southern France becomes a quiet pilgrimage, rooted in the stillness of the Mary Magdalene caves. Hidden within the forested cliffs of Sainte-Baume, the grotto feels suspended outside of time.
Tradition holds that Mary Magdalene spent her final years here in contemplation, and whether history or legend, her presence seems to linger in the silence, felt more than understood. The path through the ancient forest becomes part of the experience.
Mysticism here is quiet and immersive, an invitation into stillness where each breath, each step, becomes a yogic practice—an inward movement of devotion, presence, and connection to something greater.
About Swami
Swami Chidananda is a spiritual educator and monk, holding the distinguished title of Swami.
Through a lifelong study of yogic texts, he has acquired a profound understanding of the science of wellness and has dedicated his life to assisting others on their inner journey.
Before entering the spiritual path, he had a successful career in finance and as an entrepreneur. Now, he uses his experiences to convey the ancient Yoga Systems in a relatable and accessible way for those seeking to reconcile Western and Eastern philosophies.

Below is a sample itinerary, offered as a gentle guide as we move through the pilgrimage, allowing space for divine synchronicities to unfold. While arrival and departure times to and from the airports are fixed, the time in between is intentionally spacious, creating room for moments of grace. The team will work closely with participants to ensure smooth pick-up and drop-off at the appropriate times. All elements within the pilgrimage—including transportation, meals, and accommodation—are fully taken care of. Participants are responsible only for arranging their inbound and outbound travel to begin and complete the journey.

MARY MAGDALENE CAVES
The Mary Magdalene Caves are a sacred grotto nestled high in the forested cliffs of southern France, traditionally believed to be the place where Mary Magdalene spent years in solitude and prayer. Reached by a steep pilgrimage trail, the cave has long drawn seekers and pilgrims, with its natural stone interior housing an altar and devotional space that reflects centuries of reverence and spiritual significance.
CALANQUES NATIONAL PARK
Calanques National Park is a striking landscape of white limestone cliffs, hidden coves, and clear turquoise water, with peaceful trails winding between the sea and fragrant pine trees. The contrast between rugged rock and the calm Mediterranean creates a natural stillness that draws you into the present moment. Walking here feels both expansive and grounding, especially when experienced as a reflective journey connected to Mary Magdalene. During our time, we will also include a brief “Om” chanting meditation, gently connecting us to the elements of the park.
Domaine Le Capelier
Our pilgrimage home will be at Domaine Le Capelier, a peaceful and blessed sanctuary in the heart of Provence, embraced by unspoiled nature and a quiet, gentle landscape. Nestled near a small river and a protected natural reserve, the Domaine offers countless serene paths and hidden corners where one can walk, sit, and simply breathe. In spring, the Provençal countryside reveals itself in its most beautiful and nourishing form, with soft light, blooming fields, and a deep sense of renewal.
This is more than a place to stay—it is a space dedicated to spirituality and inner connection. The rhythm of each day is gently guided by daily meditations, inviting stillness and presence. Nourishing vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared, supporting both body and spirit. With its calm, intentional atmosphere and ashram-like feeling, Domaine Le Capelier provides a sacred environment for reflection, connection, and quiet transformation.
